Professional Headshots that are Fun and Relatable
I took professional headshots in Fort Walton for Jill and Jay McAdams of Emerald Coast Kitchen Solutions. They reached out to me after they visited their website and realized they were way overdue for an updated headshot. They told me that they wanted it to look professional but still be relatable for their customers.
I wanted to shoot inside one of their kitchens but the timing wasn’t quite right. Since we couldn’t represent one of their homes, we decided to go downtown and represent our shared home – Fort Walton Beach.
Options are Everything
When taking headshots or photos for a business, I like to provide options. We walked around downtown for about 30 minutes and found four different locations to shoot.
Our first outdoor headshot location is in by a storefront. We made sure to avoid any other logos or branding.
The second location is on the side walk near a beautiful crepe myrtle in bloom.
Third, we found a plain white wall for something a little more clean and crisp.
Lastly, we found a brick wall to add a little more color and texture.

Headshots can still be fun!
I also like to throw in a couple shots that aren’t typical headshots. These can show a little more personality. They can also give insight to your dynamic as a team. To me, this definitely makes you more relatable to your customers.
