An Intimate Beach Wedding
This is one wedding that I will never forget! This was not only my first time filming a beach wedding, but also my first time filming a wedding with less than 25 guests. In fact, most of my Atlanta weddings have 150 guests or more. Getting to be part of Marty and Evgeniya’s small, intimate ceremony and reception was truly an honor and something that I will always cherish.
Why This Wedding was so Special
This family was so warm, loving and fun that I never wanted to leave. The bride’s mother came from Russia and there is no doubt in my mind that she went home feeling 100% confident that her daughter married into a wonderful, loving family. (The toasts were also tear-jerkers.)
The Mother of the Groom and the Best Man (Marty’s brother) cooked an amazing meal for everyone. They prepared all morning and made dishes including escargot, baked brie, beef tenderloin and wild rice. My favorite, however, was the seafood risotto with trigger fish and shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico. Evgeniya prepared traditional Russian dessert called oreshki (I ate more than I care to admit). Oh, and her mother brought Russian vodka to celebrate.
The whole day was so relaxed and laid back. Everyone was excited but there was no stress or worry. It didn’t hurt that they were getting married on the most beautiful day in December. The skies were clear and sunny. The weather was warm and not too windy. And the ocean was the perfect shade of teal.
